Iowa Capital Dispatch is hosting a benefit concert on Sunday, July 12, 2026. The event will feature Iowa blues-rock band HomeBrewed. The concert is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It will be held at Uptown Garage Brewing Co. in Ankeny, Iowa. The event is a fundraiser supporting Iowa Capital Dispatch’s nonprofit journalism. Proceeds will help fund reporting on:
- The 2026 elections
- Higher education
- Health care
- Agriculture
- The environment
- Other Iowa public policy and statewide issues.
General admission is $20 at the door, and reserved tables are also available. The event is family-friendly, with food and beverages available for purchase. Those unable to attend can support the organization through donations to its summer fundraising campaign.
