Patricia Joan McElroy, 88, of Ottumwa, died at 12:15 p.m. March 6, 2025 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born December 13, 1936 in Ursa, IL to Wendell and Rosetta McDonough Phillips. She married Bernard W. McElroy December 24, 1954 and he preceded her in death October 7, 1981.
Living in Ottumwa most of her life, Pat, along with her husband, co-owned a Hobby Store in Muscatine and McElroy TV & Appliance in Ottumwa and Oskaloosa.
Pat was a member of Calvary Open Bible Church.
Surviving are her children, Kim Morse of Ottumwa, David McElroy of Jacksonville, FL, Eddie McElroy of Ottumwa and Gail (Bernard Carroll) Buffington of Des Moines; son-in-law, Frank Wright; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Vicky Weil, Dixie Clary, Cathy Davidson, Sharon Mier, Ronnie (Marie) Davidson and Bill Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Bill Davidson; a daughter, Deborah McElroy-Wright; brother, Dale Phillips; grandson, Joey Wheeler; and a son-in-law, Dennis Morse.
Her body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 22nd at Reece Funeral Home.
