Elaine Lucas, 66, of Fairfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Trinity Hospital in Bettendorf. Services will be held at a later date, to be announced. Burial of her cremains will take place at Packwood Cemetery. Memorials to the family may be sent C/O Mary Pencil at P.O. Box 293, Libertyville, IA 52567.
Elaine was born on August 18, 1960, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Ray E. and Grace E. Martin Lucas. A lifelong resident of Fairfield, she graduated from Fairfield High School in 1978. Elaine never married and lived life to the fullest. Although she had no children of her own, she shared a close bond with her family, especially her nieces.
Elaine is survived by her brother, Robert Lucas; and three nieces: Sarah A Blackett and her children, Emery and Addy; Katie Lynn Hand and her children, Kaetom and Maddix; and Amber K. Potter and her children, Rylee, Chloe, Camila and Mateo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Grace Lucas, and two brothers, Darrell Ray and David Bruce.
