A Bloomfield woman was reported as a suspicious person and searched by a K-9 unit.
21-year-old Michaella Brandt was charged with conspiring intent to manfacture/deliver methamphetamine over five grams, a class B felony, and failure to affix drug tax stamp – seven or more grams, a class D felony.
On August 29 at 6:50 p.m, court records say Brandt was reported as a suspicious person with a vehicle on “fire.” Officers conducted a probable cause search with a K-9 unit and found a digital scale, a large sum of money, and a baggie containing 39.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Brandt was transported to the Wapello County Jail. She is being held without bond pending a hearing with a magistrate judge.
