A Moravia woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly displaying a knife at a residence and threatening people gathered there earlier this month.

Lindy Whalen, 42, was charged with Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct – Abusive Epithets/Threatening Gesture, a simple misdemeanor.

According to court documents, the alleged incident occurred around 11 p.m. on October 13th at a residence along Highway J3T. Authorities allege Whalen stood in the driveway of the residence topless, displaying a knife to several people while telling them to come at her, causing those present to fear for their safety.

Whalen has since waived her preliminary hearing and posted a surety bond.
