The Ottumwa Naval Air Station Museum will host its 3rd Annual Wings & Wheels Fundraising Event on Saturday, September 5, 2026, inviting the community to enjoy a full day of aviation, classic vehicles, food, music and family-friendly activities.
The event will take place at the Naval Air Station Ottumwa Museum, 14550 Terminal Avenue in Ottumwa, with activities scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The day will begin with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m., followed by the main Wings & Wheels car, truck and military-style Jeep show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration for the vehicle show begins at 9 a.m., with prizes to be awarded.
A hamburger and hot dog lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Live music will take over from 2 to 7 p.m., while food trucks will be on site from 4 to 7 p.m.
The museum and museum store will also remain open throughout the event, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fly-ins are welcome for those looking to add an aviation component to the day’s festivities.
Proceeds from Wings & Wheels will benefit the Ottumwa Naval Air Station Museum, helping support museum restoration projects and the preservation of military artifacts.
Organizers are encouraging area residents to come out, enjoy the activities and help support the museum’s efforts to preserve the area’s aviation and military history.
