Exceptional educators across Iowa are helping students prepare for the careers of tomorrow, and nominations are now open to recognize their efforts.
The Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council at the Iowa Department of Education is partnering with Google to present the Iowa STEM Teacher Award. The award honors one educator from each of Iowa’s six STEM regions for their leadership, dedication, and work inspiring students to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Teachers who encourage students to explore STEM subjects and learn about careers in high demand are making a difference in classrooms across the state.
Nominations are open to everyone, including fellow teachers, school administrators, students and parents. The nomination process is simple, and community members are encouraged to recognize educators who are helping students build skills and discover new opportunities.
Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 4:59 p.m.
