The Pekin Panther Players will present Tracy Wells’ “One Stoplight Town” on November 13-15 in the Pekin High School Commons, with tickets now on sale.

The production runs three nights, opening Friday, November 13 at 7 p.m. A Sunday matinee on November 15 begins at 2 p.m.

Saturday, November 14 features the program’s annual dinner theatre fundraiser, beginning at 5 p.m. with the show to follow. The dinner menu offers two options: a fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, green beans and a roll, or an open-faced hot beef plate with Texas toast, chuck roast, mashed potatoes and beef gravy. Both meals include a choice of hot fudge sundae, hot caramel sundae or root beer float.

Ticket prices for the regular shows are $10 for adults and $7 for children 10 and under. Children 2 and under are admitted free. Dinner theatre tickets are $35 per individual, $65 per couple and $25 for children 10 and under. Children who do not eat and do not require a chair for the dinner are admitted free. Pekin Passes are not accepted for plays and musicals.

Reservations for the dinner theatre must be made by November 5, with no exceptions. Tickets for the regular shows must be reserved by November 10. Remaining seats will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis; the program notes that some general seating will be available for the Saturday show as space allows, with dinner theatre reservations seated first.

To reserve tickets, call the Pekin High School office at (319) 695-3705 or email head director Staci Wright at staci.wright@pekincsd.org.

The Panther Players are also seeking costume donations or loans as well. The program needs men’s shirts and ties and women’s dresses and shoes from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s — all sizes and all three decades. Casual day dresses are the primary need for women’s clothing, though some more formal dresses are also welcome. Items may be donated to the program’s costume department or loaned.

The set crew has recently painted and organized a new storage room that now serves as space for supplies, props and costumes, as well as a workspace for building set pieces.

Those with items to donate or loan may call (319) 695-3705 and ask for Staci Wright, or reach her by email at staci.wright@pekincsd.org.
