Keturah Lavonne Ridge, 88, of Ottumwa, died at 2:26 p.m. August 28, 2026 at home.
She was born October 14, 1937 in Connelsville, MO to Sam and Velma Roe True. She married John Ridge January 30, 1958 and he preceded her in death November 3, 2013.
A graduate of Novinger High School, Keturah had worked at Shoe Factory in Kirksville, MO. She also worked for Ottumwa Tent & Awning for 50 years as a seamstress.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cross stitching and loved going to antique auctions and sprint car races.
Surviving are 2 sons, John W. (Darci) Ridge II of Sioux Falls, SD, Brian L. (Lisa) Ridge of Marshalltown; 2 daughters, Angela (Larry) Shepherd of Ottumwa, Holly (Ronnie) Ridge Stephens of Fernandina Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren, Destinee (Heath) Noess, Britni Ridge (Aaron Wise), Cody (Allison) Miller, Austin (Katie) Miller, Brandon (Liza) Ridge, Parker (Katie) Ridge, Andrew Shepherd, Allyson Shepherd, Lindsay Jonas Hughes, Ron Dylan Cason, Dalton Cason; 13 great grandchildren; Mike & Leo Swallow, who were like sons to her; several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Martha Johnson, Bertha Billington, Mary Jo True; 3 brothers, Bud True, Weldon True, Roger True.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 2nd, at Reece Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeremy Croteau officiating. The family will present to greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
