Wapello County officials are notifying motorists that 25th Avenue is closed for a culvert replacement project.
The old box culvert has been removed and replaced with a new pipe culvert. The road closure began Wednesday afternoon, August 19, and will remain in place overnight while crews complete the work.
Officials expect 25th Avenue to reopen by approximately 5 p.m. Thursday, August 20, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route and allow extra time while the road is closed.
