A Keokuk County woman is facing a felony theft charge after allegedly using funds from the What Cheer Ball Boards bank account for personal purposes over a two-year period.
Kylie McDonald, 36, of Delta has been charged with Theft in the First Degree, a Class C Felony.
According to court documents, McDonald allegedly used funds from the What Cheer Ball Boards bank account for purposes unrelated to the organization. On May 2nd, 2024, the account had a balance of over $10,000. By May 27th, 2026, the account had been driven to a negative balance before a $16 deposit was made to bring it out of the negative and close the account. Court documents state that during the two-year period, several personal transactions were made through ATM withdrawals and other transactions by McDonald, who admitted to being the only person with a card linked to the account.
McDonald has posted her surety bond of $10,000. Her initial appearance is scheduled for August 10th.
