Alvin Morris Haines, 76, of Drakesville, Iowa passed away on June 27, 2026 in Davis County. He was born on January 18, 1950 in Davenport, Iowa to Robert Ellsworth and Norma Irene Hornback Haines. Alvin worked in different areas of construction for most of his life and was a hard worker. He would rather be outside than in the house and some of his hobbies and interests include: hunting, arrow head hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking care of his dogs. He was also a good cook. Alvin had a good heart and would help anyone in need. He loved his family and they will all miss him dearly.
He is survived by four sons, Shawn (Lori) Haines of Indianapolis, Indiana, Alvin (Jennifer) Haines Jr. of Davenport, Iowa, Jason Haines of California, Cory Gamble of Maquoketa, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Haines of Drakesville; and two nephews, Troy (Lisa) Haines of Arizona, Anthony (Kari) Eberhart of DeWitt, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Alvin’s wish was to be cremated.
