An Ottumwa man is accused of breaking into a home resulting in an injury over the weekend.
Nelson Mendoza, 39, was charged with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony.
On May 3rd at 9:36 AM, court records say Mendoza kicked in the door of a home on Clinton Avenue in Ottumwa. According to police, Mendoza’s reckless actions caused injury to an occupant of the residence.
Mendoza was arrested and transported to the Wapello County Jail where he is being held on no bond pending a hearing from a magistrate judge.
