Each year, community members and local organizations come together to support the athletes of Special Olympics Iowa through the annual Truck Convoy.
This past weekend, organizers and participants once again gathered to escort trucks taking part in the event while showing their support for the outstanding athletes of Special Olympics Iowa.
The Truck Convoy brings together truck drivers, volunteers and supporters for a special event that raises awareness and celebrates the abilities and accomplishments of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Organizers expressed their appreciation to everyone who helped make this year’s event a success, including those who participated in the convoy, assisted with the escort and showed their support for the athletes.
The annual event continues to highlight the importance of inclusion, community involvement and supporting opportunities for Special Olympics athletes.
