The Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont High School Band is set to take center stage on a national platform after earning an invitation to perform at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee, in December 2026.
The invitation includes participation in a 3–4 day trip featuring rehearsals, cultural activities, the Liberty Bowl Parade, and a performance on game day. The experience is expected to provide students with exposure to a national-level stage while also offering meaningful educational and personal growth opportunities.
For many students, the trip will mark their first major travel experience with a performance ensemble. It is designed to strengthen teamwork, discipline, and musical development while allowing participants to engage with a broader cultural and professional environment. School officials view the invitation as a validation of the students’ hard work and commitment to excellence in the performing arts.
