A Knoxville man is facing assault charges after allegedly attacking a victim outside Casey’s in Pella. The incident, captured on store security cameras, led to his arrest and upcoming court proceedings.

On February 2nd, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Pella Police Department was dispatched to the Casey’s store on South Clark Street in response to an assault.

According to the criminal complaint, officers questioned the victim and 20-year-old Trenton Huff of Knoxville upon arrival. The report states that the victim was exiting the main entrance of Casey’s when Huff allegedly struck him in the face two or three times. Huff faces charges of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness, a serious misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct – fighting/violent behavior, a simple misdemeanor. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 13th.
