A central Iowa respiratory therapist has been charged with conduct that is unethical or harmful to the public.
The Iowa Board of Respiratory Care and Polysomnography has charged Bethany Jane Vore, 27, of Des Moines with knowingly making misleading, deceptive, untrue or fraudulent representations in the practice of the profession or engaging in unethical conduct or practice harmful or detrimental to the public; and with falsification of client records.
According to the board, Vore is an Iowa licensed respiratory care practitioner who worked in Des Moines when the alleged violations occurred.
The board has not disclosed the alleged conduct that gave rise to the charges, or disclosed when the alleged violations took place or precisely where Vore was working. Board records indicate the investigation into her conduct was initiated in 2024. Iowa Capital Dispatch was unable to reach Vore for comment.
A board hearing on the matter is scheduled for Feb. 23, 2026.
Board records indicate Vore has been an Iowa-licensed respiratory therapist since October 2021.
