Scam emails have been sent from the address emilytaylorr124@gmail.com, with the sender identifying herself as Emily Taylor — though the sheriff’s office noted the scammer could be using any name. The emails claim to be coordinating vendor registration for the fall festival and request business information and payment via Cash App, PayPal, or Chime.
The fraudulent emails ask potential vendors to provide their business name, type of products or food, preferred booth size, and electricity needs, and direct all communication through email rather than official channels. Engage Keosauqua and the sheriff’s office are urging anyone who receives such an email not to send money or provide personal or financial information.
The only legitimate way to register as a vendor for the Keosauqua Fall Festival is by filling out an official application online at Keosauqua.com or picking one up in person at the Hotel Manning in Keosauqua.
