Mildred Lorraine Roulet, 93, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on November 30, 2025 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born on June 10, 1932 in Agency, Iowa to Wilbur Stanley and Bessie Cora Smith. She married Samuel Roulet Jr. and they had two sons, Kenneth and Keith. Sam Jr. passed away on December 21, 1998.
Millie, as she was fondly known as by the staff at the Davis Center and the Bloomfield Care Center, was gentle and always smiling. She loved to read and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She made the Des Moines Register in a July 2015 issue where she was pictured shucking sweet corn along with some other residents. In her younger years, she had attended the Pulaski Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Julie) Roulet of Bloomfield; two granddaughters, Ashley (Josh) Wright of Bloomfield, Chelsie (Bo) McBee of Johnston, Iowa; grandson, Zach Roulet of Bloomfield; five great-grandchildren, Noah, Eli, Isaac, Kollyns, Maverick; and four nephews, Rick (Marcia) Roulet, Ron Roulet, Alan (Cindy) Johnson, Brent (Deb) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Keith “Pete” Roulet; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Roulet; four siblings, Louise Heston, Victor Johnson, Maxine Roulet, Ralph Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Floyd Heston, Harvey Roulet; and two sisters-in-law, Marcine Johnson, Joy Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Jeff Cummings officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at the Pulaski Cemetery in the Spring. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Pulaski Cemetery.
