A Fairfield man has been arrested and faces multiple charges after allegedly forcing his way into a locked room and assaulting individuals inside around 8:10 a.m. on Monday, December 1st, according to newly filed court records.
Brock Wierck, 42, of Fairfield, has been charged with Burglary in the First Degree, a Class B felony; Going Armed with Intent, a Class D felony; and three counts of First-Degree Harassment, all aggravated misdemeanors.
The charges stem from an incident in which Wierck allegedly made repeated threats to kill three individuals residing in the same home. According to witness statements included in the court filings, Wierck, who occupies an upstairs room at the residence, reportedly declared his intent to kill the three occupants prior to the confrontation.
Investigators say Wierck then approached a first-floor room that had been locked from the inside. Court records state he kicked the door several times until it gave way, forcibly entering the room. Once inside, Wierck allegedly continued making threats and was armed with a 4-inch folding knife. He is accused of stabbing one of the victims in the left knee during the encounter.
Responding officers documented visible injuries, including blood and what appeared to be a puncture wound consistent with the description of the stabbing provided by the witnesses present.
Following his arrest, Wierck was booked into custody and is being held on $40,000 cash-only bail. A no-contact order has been requested in this case. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 11th in Jefferson County Magistrate Court.
