Carol Marie Johnson, a long-time resident of Moravia, Iowa, was born in the same town on January 7, 1942.

She passed away on December 1, 2025. Carol, a spirited woman full of life and joy, was known for her smart and reliable character. She was a pillar of strength for her family and friends, always there when they needed her most. Carol was a dedicated insurance agent for many years before her retirement, demonstrating her reliable nature in her professional life. Her smart, quick-thinking approach to problem-solving won her much respect in her field. In her personal life, Carol was a devoted wife and a beloved figure within her family. What mattered most to Carol was her family, and she always put them first in everything she did. Her hobbies included sewing and genealogy, the latter revealing her deep interest in family history and heritage. She was a master at threading the needle and stitching together not only fabrics, but also the hearts of those around her. Carol’s spirited personality and love for life will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, John William Robinson and Lucille Robinson. She is survived by her husband Raymond Johnson; her daughter, Terri (Bob) Blackburn of Weslaco, Texas; her son, David (Kim) Johnson of Moravia; her grandchildren, Aaron Kelly, Hannah Burke, Tyson (Stephanie) Johnson, Nathan (Melanie) Johnson; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated, and no services will be held for her. Carol’s family encourages those who knew her to leave memories and upload photos to her memorial page.
