Melissa Pearl Fowler, 58, of Ottumwa, died at 5:07 p.m. November 15, 2025 at Vista Woods Care Center.
Missy was born May 23, 1967 in Iowa City and was a graduate of Ottumwa High School.
Missy enjoyed playing pool and was on the Ottumwa Women’s League for several years. She also loved crafts.
Surviving are her daughters, Tracy Houk of Lancaster, MO and Julie Crowder of Aurora, MO; 7 grandchildren, Caleb, Gabby, Nikolai, Ashley, Asia, Anika and Anthony; a great-grandchild, Presley; a sister, Heidi Dye of Des Moines; step-brothers, James and Dennis Shilling; and a step-sister, Marvalynn Shilling.
Missy was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, JoAnn and Marvin Shilling; and a brother, Harold Dee.
Her body has been cremated and no services are planned.
Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
