Rhonda Jean Uitermarkt, age 68, of Monroe, Iowa passed away on July 24, 2025, at The Cottages in Pella.
Rhonda was born on April 17, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ronald Eugene and Beverly Jean (Kern) Bagley. Rhonda was raised in the Des Moines area and attended Southeast Polk High School.
Rhonda and Lloyd married in 1996. Together they raised their six children and enjoyed the many grand and great grandchildren that followed. Rhonda and Lloyd loved to ride their Harley Davidson motorcycle and travel together. They also very much loved their goldendoodle, Zoey.
Once Lloyd passed, in 2022, it left a gaping hole in Rhonda’s life. She missed himdearly every single day when they weren’t side by side and is celebrating being reunited in heaven.
Those left to honor her memory include her six children, Jessica (Justin) Zuidema, Holly Clifton, Amanda (Earl) Simo, Alicia (Josh) Hansen, Tom McCarville, Andrea Steenhoek, twelve grandchildren (Morgan Davidson, Rosie Dye, Trent Malone, Kenadie Malone, Cooper Malone, Dominic McCarville, Josie McCarville, Kailey Simo, Austin Simo, Carson Hansen, Marisel Clifton, Mayzelin Clifton) and three g emories, with Rhonda, will continue to be kept alive for her children, grand andgreat grandchildren and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Monroe
Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the
Monroe Presbyterian Church at 10:30 a.m. Following a graveside service, the family will host a luncheon at the Monroe Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be to the Monroe Trailhead (checks payable to City of Monroe – please notate “donation to Monroe Trailhead”.
