Cheryl Ann Ridgway, 80, of Ottumwa, died at 10:55 a.m. August 13, 2026 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
She was born March 26, 1946 in Alhambra, CA, the daughter of Lowell L. and Mildred Roland.
A resident of Ottumwa since 1971, Cheryl attended Indian Hills Community College. She worked for the Department of Human Services in Jefferson and Davis Counties, the Holiday Inn, Sunnyslope Care Center, and retired from ResCare.
Cheryl attended Christ Church and had been a volunteer at the Agency Public Library.
Surviving are her sons, Glen (Melissa) Ridgway of Eldon and Scott Ridgway (Katie Courtney) of Ottumwa; 6 grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashlyn, Corey, Kjierstin, Delaney and Braden; 6 great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Linda Roland and Marsha McClure; and brother, Barry Roland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Coty.
Private graveside services and burial will be in Agency Cemetery Lynn Addition.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society or Care Initiatives Hospice in Albia.
