Two men from southeast Iowa were hurt in a car accident in Randolph County, Missouri, on Thursday night. The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 63, about two miles north of Cairo.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old man from Fulton, Missouri, was driving north when his car hit the back of a van. The van was being driven by a 57-year-old man from Centerville, Iowa.
Both the van driver and a passenger, a 55-year-old man from Ottumwa, suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.
The report mentioned that both drivers were wearing their seat belts, but the passenger in the van was not buckled up.
