No serious injuries were reported when personnel from the Ottumwa Fire Department fought a blaze on the 300 block of East Main Street on Sunday night.
According to officials, the fire department received a call at 10:44 PM of a fire at the Cerro Grande Meat Market located at 311 East Main Street. No one was in the building during the fire.
Crews battled the fire for hours and eventually extinguished the blaze. Three firefighters were treated for exhaustion.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
