Places along the Historic Hills Scenic Byway will be featured on an upcoming episode of Iowa PBS’s series Road Trip Iowa. The episode will premiere Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. and be rebroadcast Saturday, May 17 at 9 a.m.
In this episode, Road Trip Iowa will follow the Historic Hills Scenic Byway which traces the Des Moines River along 105 miles through southeast Iowa. From European settlers and Mormon pioneers to Amish and Mennonite communities, the roots of tradition are strong in this area and on full display.
