A Centerville woman was arrested early Wednesday morning in Burlington after police say methamphetamine was found in her vehicle during a traffic stop.
Burlington officers stopped a vehicle around 12:55 a.m. near Agency and Curran Street. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Michelle Adams, initially gave false identification but was later confirmed to have an active probation violation warrant from Appanoose County.
A police K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, and a search of the vehicle uncovered suspected meth and items associated with drug distribution.
Adams faces charges including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, probation violation, and providing false ID. She was booked into the Des Moines County Jail.
