Gregory Francis Boer, 49 of Ottumwa died at 9:08 a.m. April 3, 2025 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.
He was born June 22, 1975 in Ottumwa to Donald Henry and Martha Frances Waller Boer. He married Roxanne Rock and she preceded him in death.
A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, Gregory was a 1993 graduate of Ottumwa High School. He received a nursing certificate from Indian Hills Community College.
He enjoyed going to concerts and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his 2 children, Gabriel Boer of Minnesota and Erika Boer of Northwest Iowa; his mother, Martha “Marty” Boer of Bloomfield; a brother, Steve Boer of Bloomfield; 2 step-sisters, Jenny Pinto and Christy (Brian) Meehan, both of Huxley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Boer and his grandparents.
His body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
