Ila Mae Josefson, 92, of Ottumwa, died at 7:30 p.m. January 30, 2025 at Bloomfield Care Center.
She was born September 8, 1932 in El Cajon, CA to Matthew and Grace Margaret Small Corning. She married John Carl Josefson May 26, 1967 and he preceded her in death March 5, 2007.
Ila was a member of Christ’s Church and enjoyed attending on Sundays. She enjoyed reading her Bible. Ila was cheerful, social and sweet and was a joy to be around.
Surviving is her daughter, Donna Davis of Ottumwa. She had two brothers, William (Betty) Corning of Napa, CA and Gene (Judy) Corning of Albany, CA.
Her body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 5th at Reece Funeral Home with Dan Smith officiating. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery.
