Delores P. Gatrel, 84, of Ottumwa, died at 7:37 a.m. January 31, 2025 at Vista Woods Care Center.
She was born May 23, 1940 in Numa, IA to Dominic and Corina Bertelle Furlin.
Delores had worked for Collins Radio and at Sears. She was a caring and generous person who was thoughtful of others. She enjoyed crafts, painting, coloring along with her friends and caregivers at Vista Woods Care Center.
Surviving are her daughters, Diana (Mark) Pirtle of Canton, IL and Debbie (Mark) Fisher of Ottumwa; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Sara) Pirtle, Brandon (Malissa) Pirtle, Quinton (Ashleigh) Pirtle and Dustin Bainbridge; 9 great-grandchildren, Abriella, Emelia, Maddy, Kapri, Oaklee, Indie, Scout, Lark and Rowe; a sister, Ann Kirkland of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine and a brother, Dan Furlin.
Her body has been cremated and services are not planned.
