Roland Keith Fleming was born on January 28, 1968, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was a very dedicated, loyal and resilient man. Roland never knew a stranger. His warm and loving personality quickly endeared him to all. Following his retirement as a Semi Driver with Dickey Transport in Packwood, IA. Roland found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #16 and loved the outdoors. He was often seen riding motorcycles, camping, driving his grandchildren around on an ATV or enjoying his hobby of shooting guns at the range.
His family was the bedrock of his life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Rose Fleming, and a loving father to his children: Ricci Kerr, Brody Carlberg, Emerald (Bryan)Witt, Misti (Tyler) Shofe, JoHannah (Lavon) Schwartz, Jacob (Sammi) Fleming, Katelyn Waller, and Maegan Waller. His role as a grandfather to Taydren, Shiloh, Echo, Jacob, Rowen , Sophia, and Oliver brought him immense joy.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents, William and G. Carol Fleming, and brothers William Jr., Robert Bonella, and Greg Fleming. He is survived by his sister, Dee Edwards, and brother, Bill Fleming. Roland will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will cherish his memory forever.

A celebration of Roland’s life will be held on August 22nd at the #16 Masonic Lodge in Ottumwa from 2-6 pm.
