Dale Junior Walker, 94, of Farson, died at 1:20 a.m. August 15, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
He was born January 19, 1932 in Henry County, IA to Dale E. and Alice C. Walker. He married Shirley Ann Inman October 15, 1954.
A 1950 graduate of Farson High School, Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had worked 35 years at Vaughn’s Automotive.
Dale enjoyed fishing, camping, pitching and playing slow-pitch softball with his sons, and going to Riverside Casino. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
If something broke, no matter what it was, Dale would fix it with a glue gun.
Surviving is his wife of 71 years, Shirley; 2 sons, Mark (Glenda) Walker of Hedrick, Denis (Stacy) Walker of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; a great grandchild; 4 step-great grandchildren; a brother, Derald (Lucille) Walker of Milwaukee, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Walker; 3 sisters, Wilma Whittington, Lola Chambers, Eunice Yeager.
Visitation will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, August 21st, at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
Cremation will follow the visitation. Inurnment will be in Competine Cemetery at a later date.
