An Ottumwa man faces charges after sending 100 text messages and threatening to burn the victim’s apartment.
52-year-old Adrian Steele was charged with harassment 1st degree, an aggravated misdemeanor.
On August 25, court records say Steele sent approximately 100 SMS and voice messages within 12 hours to the victim without the individual responding. According to officials, Steele threatened to burn down the apartment complex that the victim lives in.
Steele was transported to the Wapello County Jail. He has a $2,000 bond and a preliminary hearing on September 13.
