Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra (OSO) invites the public to attend the favorite annual event with the slightly revamped title “Several Men Who Can Cook”, which will be held at Bridge View Center on August 3, beginning at 11:00 am.
Local celebrity chefs will prepare servings of their favorite recipe in one of the following categories: Pre-Dining (soup/appetizer/salad/side-dish), Entree, or Dessert. Your ticket allows you to sample any and all selections, then vote for the “People’s Choice” award. Professional judges will score each entry based on taste, originality, and presentation.
The current list of celebrity chefs includes Ashley Abongwa, Wilbert Boudreaux, Ellis Codjoe, Jose Espinoza, Taylor Grimm, TJ Harris, Derek Hedgecock, Austin Jones, Nate Miller, Randall Lien, Alex Morley, Eric Morley, Brian Quinn, John Richards, Thomas Roberson, and Shizu Zhou. Additional chefs may be added to the lineup.
Another great way to take something home with you that evening, along with supporting the organization, is to bid on one or more silent auction items. Ticket can be purchased for $20 in advance or $25 at the door; kids ages 6-12 accompanied by an adult are just $5.00 each (available for purchase at the door only)!
