An Ottumwa woman with previous drug charges was arrested after purse search.
43-year-old Krista Ross was charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, her 3rd offense, a class D felony.
On July 2, court records say Ross was a passenger during a traffic stop on Church Street. Authorities say they conducted a probable cause search in the vehicle. According to court records, Ross’s purse contained a vile of testosterone cypionate injection that did not have a prescription. Authorities say they located a bag of methamphetamine weighing .7 grams and a bag of psilocybin mushrooms weighing 5.1 grams in the purse.
According to authorities, Ross has previous drug charges dating March 2009 and April 2012.
Ross was taken to the Wapello County Jail. She has a $5,000 bond and her preliminary hearing was waived.
