The Fairfield Community School District will be looking for a new high school principal after Aiddy Phomvisay submitted his letter of resignation, pending school board approval.
Last week, Phomvisay was announced as the new Superintendent of the Estherville Lincoln Community School District.
Phomvisay was hired by Fairfield Schools in 2022 after serving as Executive Director of Teaching and Learning at the Ottumwa Community School District. Phomvisay was also the principal of Marshalltown High School, where he was named Iowa High School Principal of the Year in 2014.
The Fairfield School Board is expected to approve Phomvisay’s resignation during its April 15th meeting.
