Linda Joyce Mason, 74, of Ottumwa, died at 2:10 p.m. September 16, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society in Ottumwa.
She was born July 5, 1949 in Ottumwa to David E. and Edna L. Pickrell Dunning.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Linda became a CNA where she worked at Sunnyslope and Ridgewood for a total of 20 years.
Linda loved her family and animals. She enjoyed bird watching and people watching. Linda was very inquisitive and never knew a stranger.
Surviving are her children, Mike (Ressa) Mason Jr., Lisa (Tim) Wick, and Tracy Frymoyer all of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Diana (Roger) Reck, and David E. Dunning Jr. both of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, James Clark Dunning; and her companion of 33 years Tom Plies.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday September 20th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. The family will be present to greet friends 1 hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery.
