Absentee Ballot Voting for Ottumwa City Council Primary Begins

Starting today, absentee ballots will be available for registered voters in the upcoming City Council primary election.

Cyan Bossou, Keith Caviness, Joe Damerval, Bill Hoffman Jr., and Marcia McDaniel are the five city council candidates. The primary election will select four candidates to be in the General Election on November 7.

From September 20 to October 9, ballots may be cast on the second floor of the Wapello County Courthouse at the Wapello County Auditor’s Office. If you wish to have the ballot mailed to you, you have until 5:00 PM on September 25 to have the written absentee ballot request form to our office. Absentee ballots must be received in the Wapello County Auditor’s Office by 8:00 PM on Election Day.

Postmarks aren’t valid. Ballots must be received in the Auditor’s Office by 8:00 PM on October 10.
