The Ottumwa Police Department says a local business sold alcohol and tobacco to underage customers in a sting operation.

Lieutenant Jason Bell says on April 15 and April 16, the department discovered Fine Liquor and Tobacco, located at 821 Albia Road, selling the products to four customers under the age of 21.

As a result of the sting, two employees of the business were cited.

Tamy Servin, 53, of Ottumwa and Sarfraz “Sam” Hussain, 49, of Ottumwa were each cited for Selling Alcohol to an Under Age 21 Person (2 Counts) and Selling Tobacco to an Under Age 21 person (2 Counts). Police say the workers sold the products to a 15-year-old, two 19-year-olds, and a 20-year-old.

According to Bell, all of the charges are misdemeanors and the two employees were released after their citations were issued.
