A southeast Iowa man sustained non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday evening after his motorcycle struck a deer on Highway 34 just east of Lockridge, according to a press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The Jefferson County Communications Center dispatched emergency personnel to the scene at approximately 8:36 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25th. First responders arrived at 8:47 p.m. and provided medical care to the driver, identified as Michael Moore, 45, of Keokuk. Moore was transported by ambulance to Henry County Health Center for further treatment.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Jefferson County Ambulance Service and Lockridge Fire and Rescue.
