The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two stolen excavator buckets taken from a job site south of Mount Pleasant, according to a social media post from the department.
Sometime between June 6th and June 7th, two excavator buckets were stolen from a job site in the 2500 block of Iowa Avenue. The missing equipment includes a dark gray and black 60-inch ditching bucket and a dark gray and black 36-inch tooth bucket.
Authorities noted that due to the size and weight of the buckets, whoever removed them would have needed machinery and a substantial transport vehicle to do so.
Anyone who saw vehicles or people in the area during that timeframe or who has information about the whereabouts of the stolen equipment is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 319-385-2712 or submit an anonymous tip through the HCSO app. Reference case number CFS#26-009099.
