An inmate at the Iowa State Penitentiary died Saturday morning while in custody, according to prison officials.
Eighty-one-year-old Cullor was pronounced dead at 7:12 a.m. on May 16, 2026. Officials said he had been serving a sentence for crimes committed in Tama County.
Records show Cullor began serving his sentence on October 31, 1980. Additional details surrounding his death were not immediately released.
