An Ottumwa man faces a pair of felonies for the alleged sale and distribution of marijuana.

53-year-old Lashawn Anderson has been charged with failure to affix drug tax stamp (Class D felony) and conspiracy with intent to deliver under 50 kg (Class D felony).

On August 19th, the Ottumwa Police Department says it executed a narcotics search warrant on an apartment on West Fifth Street. According to court records, law enforcement found two baggies of loose marijuana that weighed 47.75 grams combined in the residence and Anderson admitted to the marijuana being his.

Authorities also conducted a search warrant on Anderson’s cell phone and found evidence that allegedly linked Anderson to the sale and distribution of marijuana.

A warrant for Anderson’s arrest was issued on September 13th and he was taken into custody on November 3rd.

Anderson is currently housed in the Wapello County Jail. His bond has been set at $10,000.
