Main Street Fairfield is inviting the community to explore the upper stories of six downtown buildings on Friday, October 2nd from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. during an event called Upstairs Downtown, coinciding with Fairfield’s monthly First Fridays Art Walk, according to social media posts from Main Street Fairfield and participating businesses.
For one night only, six unique upper-story spaces in downtown Fairfield will open their doors to the public, offering a chance to discover beautiful venues, cozy rentals, creative spaces, and breathtaking views that many residents may never have seen before. Attendees can meet the building owners and downtown champions investing in Fairfield’s future, hear the stories behind the historic buildings, and learn about upcoming projects shaping the next chapter of the community.
The six participating locations are 56 ½ and 60 South Main Street, 108 West Broadway Avenue, 122 ½ North Court Street, 51 East Broadway Avenue, and 122 East Broadway Avenue. The Blue Rose Ballroom and Bistro at 122 East Broadway Avenue is among the participants, inviting visitors to tour its upper floors including the recently completed third floor. Scott Behner of Behner Funeral Home and Crematory said he and Rachel are excited to be part of the event.
Main Street Fairfield Executive Director Jill Lane said the event will give residents a chance to see beautiful and unique spaces many have never encountered before, with downstairs businesses and building history also featured at each location. Lane described the event as a collaboration between building owners, business owners, and Main Street Fairfield aimed at creating a thriving downtown.
A $10 ticket includes admission to all six featured upper-story locations, discovery of downtown history, a behind-the-scenes look at new and upcoming projects, and an opportunity to explore possibilities for living, working, and investing downtown. Purchasing tickets in advance earns buyers 10 extra entries into a downtown gift basket drawing. Tickets are available at givebutter.com/a-night-to-explore-upstairs-main or at any of the participating locations. More information is available at mainstreetfairfield.org.
