Young Farm Bureau members and their families are invited to an evening of agriculture, food and fellowship Saturday, Aug. 29, near Oskaloosa.
The event is designed for Farm Bureau members ages 18 to 35 and will provide an opportunity to connect with other young farmers while learning more about two local agricultural operations.
The evening will begin with a tour of Striegel Acres Ostrich Farm. Following the tour, attendees will travel to Deep Roots Bison, where they will enjoy a bison meal and gather around a bonfire.
The event is being hosted by members of the Iowa Farm Bureau Young Farmer Advisory Committee, including Austin and Erica Ashbacher of District 7 and Lucas and Bethany De Bruin of District 8.
