We have exciting news for drivers in the region! Thanks to the diligent work of the Iowa Department of Transportation, Highway 34 from Albia to Chariton is now open to traffic. This stretch of road was initially scheduled to remain closed until the end of August due to construction, but crews have completed their work ahead of schedule.
Motorists heading in and out of Albia can now enjoy a smoother journey, making it easier to access local businesses and services along this vital route. We appreciate your patience during the construction process and are thrilled to see this project come to a successful conclusion sooner than expected.
Drivers are reminded to remain cautious and adhere to any remaining signage as final touches may still be underway.
