Electricity has been restored at the Fairfield Community Center as of Monday afternoon on June 29th, following a small electrical fire that temporarily closed the facility last week on Thursday, June 25th, according to a social media post from the center.
The community center thanked everyone who helped get the building back up and running, with special recognition given to board members Kathy and Francis Horn.
Wednesday lunches, typically held from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. for $7, are continuing as planned. This Wednesday, July 1st, the menu will include sliders, potato chips, and dessert for a reduced price of $5 due to the lighter meal. Reservations must be made by noon on Tuesday by calling Kathy at 641-919-9440. Bingo with prizes will follow lunch, with an exercise class held afterward.
The following Wednesday, July 8th, no meal will be served, but Bingo and snacks will still be held, followed by the exercise class.
