A 54-year-old Udell man is facing a stalking charge after authorities say he repeatedly contacted a woman over several weeks.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the victim reported a harassment incident on May 26, 2026. Court documents allege that Cliff Lowe, 54, of Udell, made repeated phone calls and left numerous voicemail messages for the victim through June 12.
Investigators say Lowe called the victim from both his personal cellphone number and a private number. Between May 24 and June 5, court records allege he placed approximately 140 phone calls and left about 55 voicemail messages.
The victim told investigators that the repeated attempts to contact her caused her to fear for her safety, according to the criminal complaint.
An arrest warrant was served on Lowe on June 24. He was taken into custody and is being held in the Marion County Jail on a $2,000 cash/surety bond.
Lowe is charged with Stalking, an aggravated misdemeanor. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 7, 2026.
