A head-on crash injured two motorists in Marion County, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
On May 12th at approximately 9:45 AM, officials say a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 59-year-old Sandra Mullins of Trumann, Arizona was traveling westbound on Washington Street in Pella.
The accident report states for an unknown reason, the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2020 Chrysler Pacifica driven by 37-year-old Sydnee Van Wyk of Pella.
Mullins was seriously injured and emergency personnel performed CPR at the scene, according to officials. Mullins was later transported via helicopter to Mercy One Des Moines Medical Center. Her current status is unknown.
Van Wyk sustained injuries and was transported to Pella Hospital.
